The Quality Control Coordinator is responsible for establishing procedures and quality standards for all jobs executed by cleaning technicians and supervisors on a daily basis and provides feedback to the Executive Assistance and Directors to ensure Lewis Industries service is satisfactory and we are exceeding client expectations.  This individual is responsible for ensuring all location supervisors and cleaning technicians work in accordance with the scope of work and meets with clients to ensure our services are executed professionally and efficiently.

The Quality Control Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all onsite routine cleaning services, one-time jobs and projects and ensure all employees are compliant with company policies and procedures, including deportment and personal appearance in uniform. This individual is expected to provide troubleshooting solutions whenever applicable.


The primary responsibilities of the quality control coordinator include:

  1. Day to day coordination of building and floor care maintenance services at all locations
  2. Meet with clients to evaluate adequacy of quality assurance standards according to daily scope of work
  3. Review all daily scope of work and submit to the Executive Assistance
  4. Monitor and evaluate how cleaning technicians and supervisors fulfil daily scope of work on a weekly basis and provide timely feedback to them
  5. Provide mentoring and on the job training to ensure service delivery is consistent and there is efficient use of tools and equipment during job execution
  6. Assessing customer requirements through efficient inspection of all jobs to ensure fulfilment of effective execution of scope of work
  7. Coordinate with Directors if challenges are encountered with products during execution of a job
  8. Assist walk in customers with enquiries
  9. Develop functional relationships with all cleaning technicians, supervisors and administrative support personnel
  10. Develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventative action
  11. Overall responsibility for all technical staff
  12. Contribution to improving productivity at reduced operational costs


Knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Proven knowledge and understanding the required use of all company equipment, tools, protective clothing, cleaning solutions and compounds required for fulfilment of requests for generals, post-construction cleaning, deep cleaning and related cleaning services
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office, specifically excel and word.
  • Ability to oversee and supervise technical staff when on jobs, special projects or generals
  • Ability to manage and schedule employees for daily cleaning services, generals, projects and one-time jobs
  • Ability to understand all floor types, wall partitions, glass partition, furniture and furnishings in making recommendation for cleaning equipment, tools, solutions and compounds
  • Must be intrinsically motivated, adaptable to changing priorities and maintain a positive attitude
  • Must be a team player and assist in maintaining a positive atmosphere between teams
  • Technical ability and basic knowledge of assembling equipment and tools
  • Acute attention to detail, and ability to analyze and solve problems creatively and independently
  • Ability to thrive in a deadline driven environment and handle different tasks in an organized and efficient manner
  • Act as a catalyst for change and ensure ongoing compliance with quality
  • Formulating methods that will improve productivity within limited costs
  • Overall responsibility for all technical staff

Ideal attributes

  • A degree or higher national diploma (HND) or equivalent in business studies or management or equivalent.
  • Should possess a vehicle to receive traveling and vehicle maintenance allowance of $500.00 and $100.00 respectively on a monthly basis
  • Take ownership attitude with customer focus, and must be cost control focused
  • Ability to view a cleaning job (especially one which sees problematic) in its entirety and provide effective business solutions
  • An eye for detail
  • Expected to work extended hours as per constructs of the job
  • Desire to improve processes, procedures and personal performance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications.
